Does any vendor here make the short 36mm hose for kapex?

Not that I know.
Two things you could do.
1: buy a cheaper hose and cut it.
2: buy a longer Festool hose and cut it down and have two.

I went with a Bosch hose, and cut it in half.
Btw I went with a non anti static hose.

Hi @StanB

I had a rush of blood a while back and bought a 5m anti static 36 mm hose. I cut about 1.2 m off for the Kapex and the remainder stretches perfectly from my centrally positioned CT to my tracksaw cutting station where I connect it to my TS55.

Although I deliberated on the purchase for a while it has turned out to be a really good investment.

Would there be any value in using a 50mm hose? It seems like the 5’ 50mm hose from the boom arm kit with the 50/36 adapter would work if there is any benefit in 50mm over 36mm.

There would be a slight improvement but a short 36 mm works brilliantly.

Here's a less expensive way to test your theory:  https://www.oneida-air.com/flex-hose/vacuum-hose/2-5-inch-5-5-foot-wire-reinforced-vacuum-hose

That hose from Oneida is very well made and a perfect fit in the Festool vacs ... and $17.

Interesting.  Is the hose an anti static hose?  Presumably to get it to work you would need to cut the ends odd and attach festool ends.

Well poop. Now I have a long 36mm hose...The 2.5" looks interesting option too. Thank you for all the replies
