Best Festool Showroom Near NYC
« on: May 24, 2023, 09:14 PM »
Anyone have a suggestion on the best festool showroom(s) near NYC? The local suppliers near me don’t have much on display -and most are sherwin Williams stores -  even though they are on the festool.com dealer page.

I went to 'Tools for Working Wood', in Brooklyn, when we visited NYC from Australia. Certainly didn't have everything, but a decent level of stock.

I don’t know if TFWW has the best display of Festool’s in the area (if not, they surely have one of the best) but they have a lot of other woodworking tools that you won’t find anywhere else.

I'd like to know the answer to this as well.  every festool dealer in the ny/nj area that I've visited has such a minimal display it seems to be an afterthought.

Another vote for TFWW. They may not have a beautiful showroom but they'll take the time to show you what they have, even if it's not out on display.

I find that festinating. I would think in a metro-area that large, it would be a simple thing?
While I'm sure that "modern" thinking would be to buy from an on-line dealer, sometimes it nice to actually put your hands directly on a product.
Where I live is a big city and there are 2 dealers here that have nice open showrooms. Both of them have dedicated spaces with the tools out on display, they will even let you "test" some of the products, right there in the store. One is a Woodcraft store, the other is more industrial oriented. There are a few others, but they cater to commercial accounts, not retail.
