During this time of uncertainty with all kinds of businesses battered in an unimaginable magnitude except those which have seen stronger demand for their services (grocery stores, etc.), I find that tool price increases announced prior to the crisis are totally acceptable, and they should go ahead as every dollar counts for the vendors, more than ever. The only exception is if the tools or items in question are needed by the healthcare/non-profit buyers or authorities for dealing with the crisis, saving lives, etc.
For those of us who are lucky enough to have the spare money or budget, and need or want something all along, there is no better time than now to get them to support our favorite merchants and vendors, many of which could be facing an existential economic threat. Some of our tool spending now could also be saving someone's job. In my country, in just one week, more than half a million of people had lost their jobs...and counting (probably another half a million jobs have been lost as I write).
Stay home, stay safe.
