Thought you guys might be interested in this one because they come in a color similar to Festool green. They are even using Festool in their video. No affiliation with Festool, however.  [smile]

Specs look good on these - I'm interested. My headphones squish my safety glasses, they are bulky/heavy, and I can't wear them under my lathe facemask/airfilter.

Shane - does ToolNut offer 30 day return on these if I don't like them?

Thanks
Mike

@Mike Goetzke

The short answer is yes.

The long answer on our return policy is below.

All returns, regardless of their categorization, must include all original parts, be in their original packaging, and in the condition in which they were received. If you decide that you want to return an item that is not defective within 30 days of delivery, please contact our Customer Service Department at 877-866-5688 ext 2. We will issue you a Return Authorization form that must be printed and included with your shipment back to us. The Tool Nut will issue you store credit or a refund for your purchase upon return.

@Shane    “be in their original packaging, and in the condition in which they were received”

Seems trying the earphones voids the ability to return. Is that right?

Thanks Shane.

I just asked because I saw the IsoTunes site allows 30 day returns plus haven't always had stellar luck with all BT devices I have purchased.

@Michael Kellough, great question. ISOtunes actually has a 30-day satisfaction guarantee as well. You can certainly use the earbuds and try them out and still exercise our return policy.

can you post what is in the box, and the tips included?

could not find anything on manufacturer site about it either other than the text
3 pairs of ISOtunes Short TRILOGY foam eartips
3 pairs of silicone double flange eartips

also maybe a pic of the box front and back, i saw the instagram video shows something about 29/22(?) but i can't find any reference to it

@usernumber1, here are hi-res photos of the box and its contents.

The numbers you are seeing are the NRR (noise reduction rating) in decibels.

Includes:
  • Earbuds
  • Two types of tips, each in three sizes.
  • Case / charging station
  • USB cable

Shane,  How are these "Free"?   It says Free on your website title as well as the YouTube title but in reality they're just $15 off

@Jim Kirkpatrick

Admittedly a confusing product name choice by ISOtunes. "FREE" is just part of the product name. I think they are using that word in the context of untethered, no cables or wires.

Jim, "FREE" is part of the name of the product. Probably to imply that they're wireless making you "free" from cords, etc.

Thanks to Shane trading emails last night answering a few questions I ordered a set.

I find it not comfortable nor ergonomic to wear safety glasses and ear-muff hearing protection at the same time. Plus I have a wood lathe and have a face shield/dust protector that doesn't allow ear muff type hearing protection. Hopefully this will work as advertised.

It's a marketing trick that works like a click bait. The intention is to attract people (including those not looking for a wireless gadget) to take a look. To some it is a clever use of "Free", others an abuse or a misuse.

Shane - I received my IsoTunesFree yesterday.

Just first impression: These fit really nice in the ear and reduce ambient noise as advertised. Very light weight and excellent sound quality. Messed around a little to get familiar with how it syncs with BL since I want to use it with two different devices. Quick call to IsoTunes and I've mastered this now.

OK - one thing I don't like right now is volume limit. ToolNut site doesn't mention it but I have later learned the yellow buds have a 79 dB limit and the black/green & black have 85 dB limits (mine are the black/green). I was surprised to find out 85 dB is limit OSHA (and others) spec out as the threshold volume that above this you can get ear damage if listening for more than 4 hours. For me I would like to have couple more volume clicks (like an 11 or 12 not 10  [big grin] ) when Zeppelin kicks in, but, I'll try them in the shop over the weekend and see how it works out.

For reference IsoTunes told me a regular pair of Apple wired ear phones max out at 115 dB! (as I recall 10 dB equates to roughly twice the perceived loudness).
