If you don't like Signatures, just go to Look and Layout and tick No Signatures.

I purchased the tiny Dewalt DAB site radio this morning. All complete for peanuts .I have a top spec SONY as well. Sony would need "cutting and shutting " to go into a Systainer  et c.But would be nice. Trouble is my wife likes it in the Kitchen. I  have stripped the Dewalt down to it working parts (very easy) and was thinking about firstly modifying the case shape a bit to lose the Dewalt "shape"  then spraying the parts as required "festool " colours .That way it does what i need and adds a bit of fun. And if any one questions why it looks like a "dewalt"  I will say it follows a long trend in Festool products !!

That only picks up the Spanish stations, correct?

I love DAB as it allows me to listen to more interesting  selection  of music etc .OK, ITs never going to sound as good as a FM .But then we have to start thinking about construction of the unit ie "Roberts"  and others been made from wood . Which assists with a more natural sound .I think the "dewalt " interior needs a fraction of "damping" which i will play around with .

Does anyone know what the color codes are for North America? I know the Festool green equivalent is called "Sweet Pea" from Benjamin Moore, but I need the name for the "Black Blue"

Went to Sherwin Williams store today to ask about their Black Blue color RAL# 5004 RLS8-20004 as listed on their website, but was told that those codes or color name don't show up on their system. Was told by the rep the color code in North America should start with "SW"

Lowes was unable to find it on their system either. Haven't tried Home Depot yet, but I thought I ask here first to see if anyone has the right code or paint name.

Thanks in advance

All of the RAL and CMYK codes are above  - they are international.

@myer84  -  I googled "ral to sherwin williams conversion."  Here's one solution:

@Peter - I asked about the RAL and CMYK and got a weird look at both places I went to today. They had no idea and entered the codes on their systems to no avail

@Rob - I used that link to show the Sherwin Williams rep and wasn't able to pull anything using the codes listed. That's when I was told the code should start with "SW"

Well starting with SW sounds like it would be the Sherwin Williams code not the actual color code.

And a google search brings up all kinds of stuff about an RAL colors line and Sherwin Williams. I wonder if you need to find someone at SW that knows more?

I'd suggest you contact someone in one of their industrial coating stores, maybe you'll get a better answer. Or consider e-mailing corporate and ask for some assistance.

The DIY centers are pretty lean on technical competency.

Firstly as one who mixes paint, take it a bit easy on us @Cheese  [smile]. We have extensive training opportunities through the company I work for and the paint companies we represent. Only last evening did I attend a Dulux Seminar for a new range about to be released.

As to the problem at hand, I am a little surprised no one appeared to offer @myer84  a color match from a tool or Systainer. That is what I did to obtain the formulas referenced earlier in this thread. For the most part, I find that this color matching process is very accurate.

Whoops @Untidy Shop...sorry about that. [tongue]

Actually, I was referring to my local SW store. They're convenient, I just put leashes on our 2 dogs and walk the 6 blocks to purchase what I need. Sweet.

However, if there's a technical question that needs answering, I throw the 2 dogs into the car and travel the 3 miles to the SW commercial coatings store.  [cool]

It's OK @Cheese I just could not let your comment go without comment.  [big grin] And sure,  I too have had 'interesting' experiences as a customer. Rescently as a customer, I had to 'instruct' an employee at another store of the chain for which I work that yes in fact that is possible and this is how to do it.

To be fair, in none of my training has the RAL nor CMYK systems been mentioned. I am only aware due to some past graphics training. I suspect that in the paint world they are a 'secret' of the chemists and color designers.

Ya, you're right that the RAL and CMYK systems are the darlings of the graphics industry. Hey, throw in Pantone just to mix it up a bit. The ONLY reason I'm familiar in the least with them is through photography and signage.

I also embrace your earlier query as to why not just go for a color match. The recent SW color match system is incredible. I visited the local SW store with a piece of aluminum extrusion from a Marvin window and they matched the color exactly. Pretty impressed, I'm sure most of the newer color match systems are similar. I remember when it used to be a painful 1-2 hour process at either Benny Moore or SW. Mix...paint....hairdryer...check for match...remix...repaint...rehairdryer...painful.

After plenty of trying, I ordered the correct Formica colors because the codes cross.  Paint however was much less obvious.  I took about 30 swatches from HD guessing what 15+ would be close to the green and the dark blue.  Got home.... WAY OFF! So I brought a piece of my domino and a systainer latch and this little girl matched them so well, I felt bad for doubting her.  I’ll post pictures later of the match in use.

I know this is an old post however during some research, I found a company in Springfield NJ who is licensed to mix paint under the European RAL Standard. Below is a link and copy of my order. My order is in Kansas City today and should be in my hands tomorrow.

UPDATE: I received my paint today, pic below.

Anyone know the RAL color code for the Limited Edition Blue Systainers? Is it the same as the dark blue mentioned above (RAL 5004)? It seems to be lighter than that one.

There's no "seems" about it, they're definitely a different color than the tool bodies.  You can see the difference in some of the unboxing videos of the Emerald Edition tools that came in the blue systainer.

I wonder if @Systainer.Store might know?

Here's a shot of the "Limited Edition Blue Systainer" on the left and the PRO 5 systainer on the right. According to 2016 Festool literature, "To distinguish the PRO 5 LTD from all other Festool tools, it will be delivered in a unique blue Systainer."

That "unique blue" turned out to be black instead.

The "Limited Edition Blue Systainer" is the same as Tanos color sapphire blue, RAL 5003.

I need to match the Red and Blue of the American flag. A google search turned up this

Question:
What are the exact shades of the colors blue and red?
Answer:
The exact shades of blue and red are numbers 80075 and 80180 in the Standard Color Card of America published by the Color Association of the United States. In the Pantone system the colors are: Blue PMS 282 and Red PMS 193. The RGB numbers are: #002868 (blue) and #BF0A30 (red).

However I have no idea what system SW or HD uses.  Anyone know if this is enough info for them to get me an accurate color match ? Or should I be looking for some other color coding system?
