Use of Festool’s boom arm without a CT26-48
« on: May 12, 2020, 06:06 PM »
Well, I’m making an attempt to adopt the use of CT ASA without having an CT 26-48.

My only “real” Festool DC is a CT Mini/Midi, newest version. It will not hold a CT ASA boom arm.
Nor did I want it to, as I’m making an attempt for it to be semi-stationary with the option to free it for use on a future CT 26/36.

I have to have a nomad like workshop in my house renovation, therefore everything needs to be as close to a static workshop as it’s “components” needs to break down and move easily.

This is the first step, more to follow. (It’s not going to be a beauty, as some of the installation is more of a quick fix, and other parts hopefully will se future use)

I had to buy a specific forstner bit, but what - the runout was awful! I went back to my local shop (Bauhaus) to have it exchanged - and they did in a blink. How was bit nr. 2? - just the same... [huh] Soo, I’ve got my holes but the bit is going back.

Next is some more tuning and drilling of these pieces of ply, and then it’s time for those makeshift not so pretty other parts.

“The Stig” Yes, it is true, at least some part of it..
