MW 1000 Extension Table To JawHorse Adaption
« on: April 30, 2019, 07:47 AM »
I don't really have a need for a MFT, but have thought that having a smaller foot print table would be handy.   I also use a Jawhorse for many other applications including plumbing and electrical work.
So, when Festool came out with the MW 1000 Extension Table, I figured I could adapt that to the Jawhorse.
I simply duplicated the profile of the aluminum extrusion out of poplar scrap and made a mini MFT that chucks up in the vise and doubles as a tool tray when flipped (a second profile attached that is reversed on the mini MFT).
When the top is in the tray position, it securely holds a Systainer from sliding off, but maintains storage underneath for small items.  Entire setup seems to be very solid with the tri-stand type legs (especially when compared to being attached to the MW 1000 Basic).
I can easily take this mobile and sets up rather quickly.

Well that's nifty. And your shop looks like it has room to spare. Must be a joy to work there.

I like it.  That looks like a very handy and easily portable setup.
