Non Festool router attachment?
« on: March 19, 2008, 10:58 AM »
Want to use a non Festool router with the guide rails. Read the past threads on this subject. Have a few more questions. Debating between the guide stop by Festool $63 or the EZ SRK unit for $137. What are the pros and cons for each?  Also, attaching the guidestop by Festool what routers would line up with their rod config? Any further attachment difficulties to the router? I know some will say to buy the Festool router but not possible now. Thanks for the help.

to750,

Something doesn't make sense.   It looks like the SRK does not work with Festool guide rails.   Why are you even considering it?

Dan.

Have a look at A review of the EZ-Smart Festool SRK on Sawmill Creek.

He's looking at a Festool 1400 router and Festool guide rail.

The review by Daviddubya ends with "Note that any router could be used, just as easily."

Ned,

Thanks.  I stand corrected.   I had forgotten about David's review.

Regards,

Dan.
