I wonder if these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-ft-T-Slot-T-Track-Aluminum-Jig-Clamp-Hold-Down-/270533884216?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3efd137938 will accept the festool clamps? It says it accepts standard 1/4-20 hex bolts, the same as the incra track. Anyone tried these?

I have tracks that appear to be identical, which I purchased from McMaster Carr. The clamps do fit them.

RMW

Jackpot! I was just mulling this question...thx!

What I want to know now is if those Incra tracks can be set in 3/4" birch ply. I have a need to add them to my extension wings for my Kapex to make the fence adjustable.

The Incra T-Track and T-Track Plus are 1/2" thick so they can be dado'ed into 3/4" ply. They come with short pan head screws seemingly for that purpose.

RMW

Good to know thx..I Also found a 1/4" in track on Woodpeckers which could work well for my application, and it takes 1/4-20 bolts etc.

I want to be able slide my fence forward and back on my extension wings. I just have to figure out how to fasten to the T track since the top of the fence is occupied by the Kreg stop system. Maybe some blocking on the back of the fence with through-bolts to the track.

The Woodpecker track I have used, their "dual purpose" track, is slightly too small for the Festool clamps. They only fit if you file/grind a touch off of the sides of the clamps, which I have done with all my clamps and it does not impact their use in the guide rails, etc. That may not be the case with the track you linked to but the photo does make is appear to have slightly thicker sides than the Incra tracks.

Also, the McMaster and Incra track has a recess for the pan head screws, without this I think the screw heads may hit the clamp.

The Festool quick clamps and the Dewalt track clamps fit the Incra T track perfectly.

I read somewhere that this "Orange Aluminum" track works with the Festool clamps, but I haven't tried it.  I used the Incra track.  The price seems great on the Orange Aluminum track compared to Incra.

Cut Length   Sku   Each

18"   OA7150-18   $4.13
24"   OA7150-24   $4.82
36"   OA7150-36   $6.34
48"   OA7150-48   $7.83

I just got some of this track and Festool clamps do work with it.  I bought extra track because it was cheap and shipping costs didn't change much.
6 - 4ft pieces shipped from coast to coast for $58.63

What the heck is a seven year old doing posting on the FOG, particularly if it's late?
Sys4 with cheese sandwich, a small pork pie with Tabasco sauce, a nice bottle of dry, vintage Prosecco and three reusable ice packs. Olives with pimento and a capon, roast in Dijon mustard. Several slices of fresh pineapple, a scale model of the Eiffel tower made from noodles, black forest gateau and a gingham table cloth for the MFT-3. A block of Parmesan and a Stanley 2" chisel for grating.
Sys3 with a half bottle of La Fée Absinthe, a spoon and vodka-soaked mint with Rothenberger blow-torch.
125 year old balsamic vinegar in spray bottle.
Ibuprofen and a pair of handcuffs. 2 loaves, 5 (very) small fishes, some bread, broken. A goblet of blood-red wine, a hammer... nails

The Festool quick clamps also fit the Dakota 1/2" T Track sold by Rutlands in the UK:

One person has mentioned the 15 series from 8020.net. I'm a BIG fan of second opinions when I'm about to fork out a bunch of cash for a new project.

Can anyone else confirm that the Festool clamps work in the 15s?

Does anyone know if anyone from 8020 has an account here on FOG?

Thank you @Cheese.  Curious if you already had that photo or if you went and snapped it just for this thread. Either way, greatly appreciated.

Is that a piece of 1515?

The 1515 shown is part of a work table I set up outside. I was taking it down and decided to add a couple of clamps and take a photo for your post.

All,

I know it's nearly 10 years old post, but it was so confusing to have all the information that I summarized it.
While I summarized it, why not share the summary.

The only doubt I had was with regards to the difference between quick clamp and srew type clamp. So they don't have the same thickness ? is that why with incra t-track, only the quick clamp will fit ?

8020 has an E-Bay store and I have bought a couple thousand $s worth through there.  They recently made orders available directly https://www.8020.net/peaceofmind-online-ordering.  They also have  a network of distributors and if you request a catalog they also provide contact info for the nearest distributor.

Newer Festool screw type and quick clamps have the same slimmer profile. There was only a difference in them years ago.

In this case, there is no point to split compatibility between screw type and quick clamps.
I updated the list (it makes it lighter, less of a headach to read) :

So FWIW...
I decided I needed to be able to add some quick clamps to some 80/20 rails without removing the rails from the work table.

So, using an OF 1010, MFS and a 1/4" x 1/4" carbide end mill, I enlarged the channel so that this was possible. Just an example of what you can do with a router while working in aluminum. Just dial the speed down and take small cuts.

And don't climb cut!!!

So that's just the entry port you router there @Cheese ?  I assume it can now slide back and forth in the channel?

You got it Edward, it just makes using quick clamps real easy, and they'll slide the full length of the 80/20.

The cutout only needs to be 23mm x 93mm, however at the 93mm length, the clamps interfere with the router travel. So, I had to make it 23mm x 143mm and then put in two 25mm spacers to act as router stops. Those are the wooden squares you see at each end.

They look like 40x40mm Bosch-Rexroth extrusions with 10 mm slots. I have those. 10 mm slots are little too wide, the clamp will grab but on the very edges, 0.5 mm on each side. I'm afraid it might chew up the sides of the slot if you tighten it well.

Peachtree Woodworking is near my home and shop and they sell their own t-track in store and online at ptreeusa.com as well as at
ttrackusa.com.  They actually sell two different sizes.

Mini T-Track - Designed to work with 1/4" hex bolts: Festool screw and quick clamps do NOT work with this t-track.  Neither do the Grizzly screw clamps that work with guide rails.
Here is the Peachtree Mini t-track: https://www.ptreeusa.com/ttrack_track.html and http://ttrackusa.com/track_%20systems.htm#1021

Heavy Duty T-Track - Works with 3/8" hex bolts: The Festool screw and quick clamps as well as the Grizzly screw clamps work with this t-track - but it is a really sloppy fit.
Here is the Peachtree Heavy Duty  t-track: https://www.ptreeusa.com/ttrack_track.html and http://ttrackusa.com/track_%20systems.htm#1018

A note on the sloppiness of the clamps in the Heavy Duty t-track: You can position the clamp foot inside the track to where one edge of the clamp foot is not under the t-track.  The clamp foots are large enough they cannot twist out of the t-track completely though.  I have some of the Lee Valley 5/16" t-track and all of the clamps mentioned work with that and are a much better fit, plus it is cheaper.

@SRSemenza
Seth,
You can add:
Bosch-Rexroth 30 mm - OK
Bosch-Rexroth 40 and 45 mm - barely OK, will grab, but 10 mm opening is a bit wide
Woodpecker Supertrack (5 slots) - OK, but might require sanding of the clamp, about 0.25 mm

This recently came up for me so thought I’d add onto this old thread.

Woodriver T Track bought at wood craft works great.
