Training at your home. Southern Ohio
« on: February 25, 2023, 12:53 PM »

Looking for individuals who are interested in learning about Festool tools. I have been using Festool for about 12 years. I would be willing to bring tools to your house or workshop and give a demonstration of the tool and how to do the various settings and adjustments. Then you can use the tools to see what you think.
I live in Southern Ohio south of Columbus. Wouldn’t mind driving to Franklin, Delaware, Pickaway, or Ross County.  Probably any adjacent County to Franklin would be fine.
This is just something I think I would enjoy doing. Not charging for this just think I would enjoy doing it. Will not turn down gas money though.
I’m not trying to sell anything. Hopefully it would be just a couple of hours of doing something interesting.

Message me through this forum or email me at iteets0@gmail.com and we can figure something out.

If only Williams county were adjacent lol. Awesome offer, someone new to the hobby or trade would be foolish not to accept experienced know how with Festool or other!

I'm not too far from Frankfurt International Airport.  I'll even pick you up and provide room and board, but the flight is on you.   [smile]

That is quite a generous offer, especially to drive as far as Delaware county. Waverly is considerably south of Columbus, but I would imagine that there are more potential students in a more population dense area like this.
I hope you can make this work out for you. If you make it to Columbus, contact me and I might be able to get you a tour of the cabinet shop where I work. It is quite an eye opener for people who have interest and knowledge of woodworking, but it is way over the top. It's impressive.

Hi Ivan, I'm in Springfield, on the east end of town (but definitely in town), if that's too far to travel that's okay.  I'm not new to Festool, but I just got a Domino a few weeks ago and I'm about to start using it on a platform/storage bed project I'm working on, so I'd be happy to have you over just to assist with learning about the Domino.  Let me know if that sounds up your alley.   [laughing]
