Angled plunge with a domino d500

Hi guys,

I have a table to finish with angled legs and aprons.
I'd like to connect the table top to the base with z clips to mortises created with my d500.
Should I be fine with plunging when the face of the domino machine isn't entirely flush with the stock?
Angle is about 10 degrees.
In the drawing attached:
Brown- table top
Black - leg and z clip
Red - desired mortise

Shouldn't you be mounting the clips to the aprons rather than the legs?

If you really want to mortise the legs, can't you set the machine's fence to the matching angle and plunge?

There is no problem with plunging into a surface that is not parallel to the face of the unit, as long as "something" else has a good register. That could be the fence or the base plate, either is good.
Just be aware/cautious as you begin the plunge, so it doesn't jump when hitting the angled surface.

Off hand I'd say no. 

Make a jig and get a solid registration. Many ways to get to your 10 degree jig, simple is my preferred method
