I cant speak to the Festool ones per say but the knock off foam pads can be washed.  So I would think the Festool ones can as well.  I highly doubt Festool uses some proprietary foam.  If for some reason they cannot I would toss them in the trash and go buy some that can

I've washed Festool foam pads for the RO 90, RO 125 and the RAP 150. The 125 & 150/180 pads turned out great but the 90 pads started to disintegrate after light usage. Maybe I didn't wash the small pads thoroughly enough or rinse them thoroughly enough...don't know.

I'm considering purchasing some pad cleaner to make the process easier and hopefully more fool proof.

I have washed my pads all the times with out any problems. Make sure they are completely dry before you put them away. Onetime i had one pad develop some mildew.

And I'll add, when drying the pad, make sure it's hook & loop side up so that gravity draws the water away from the hook & loop surface.
