Design ideas for foldable extension wings on MFT Cart?
« on: January 18, 2021, 11:04 AM »
I'm looking for inspiration/plans for foldable wings I can quickly setup and easily store when not needed. I figure these have to be somewhat common builds around here, but I'm not seeing much come up in my googling. It would be great to be able to break down sheet goods using these vs. my current method of cutting on the floor until the pieces are of a manageable enough size to use my MFT.

Here's one example I've came across, but wanting to see what other designs are out there before building.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Matt

You might look at shelf brackets that fold like this - https://www.amazon.com/BRACKET-MfrPartNo-206-WH-16/dp/B0006FKP3Q

They claim 750 pounds of support per pair.

I completely forgot about Tim's MFTC setup! The guy who made the wings in the above photo just reminded me. How they slide into the T-track, have sacrificial cutting strips, and can store rails underneath seems to be exactly what I'm looking for.
