Attach Festool ST Sliding Table to MFT-3?
« on: September 29, 2022, 09:59 AM »
Has anyone attached the Sliding Table to an MFT-3?

My goal is to use an extra ST that I picked up on the cheap along with the one that came with my CMS to make a router sled for slab flattening.  I can hang the ST on the top rib of the MFT-3, but the attachment bolts have nothing to screw into, and interfere with the legs because the size is different than the CMS table.

Has anyone done this before?  Did I potentially waste my money on a second ST for this purpose?

Thanks, @guybo !  I should have done some more searching, as I found a few other threads, too, using the Googles.

There are brackets that come with the VL extension table and attach to the MFT rail profile, so it's possible with OEM parts.  Of course, those brackets are $40 each.  [eek]  I can probably come up with some angle pieces that work just as well for less than that, and stay put where I want them.
