Kapex promotion - USA on hold
« on: March 26, 2020, 08:50 AM »
Anyone else hear that the Kapex promotion is on hold, and will not be released on April 1, 2020? Just heard from the promotion will be pushed and saws and stands will not be released April 1 due to shortage. Maybe @DerickC can help or provide insight. This info came from Woodcraft where i pre-ordered the kapex promotion. Ironically, regular kapex sku is still available to be ordered and shipped.
Thanks!

We do not have a firm date for the promotion at this time as we are prioritizing the stability of business as best we can under the circumstances.  We apologize for the unforeseen delay.

My guess is that it would be a logistic nightmare to try to fill the promotion orders with existing store inventory as stores probably have more saws than stands on hand, not to mention the extra tracking work involved between Festool and merchants when the shipments from Festool are ready. If true, it suggests to me that the number of pre-orders placed for the promotion package is not small.

as we are prioritizing the stability of business as best we can under the circumstances.  Snip.

For many other (smaller) merchants or service providers, it is the survival of business that is getting their priority and attention. All of us customers, in addition to the various levels of governments, must come together in this unprecedented crisis (unless you are well over 80 years old with the experience of the Great Depression) to help them, or at least to give them our share of understanding.
