Wood and Festool store option
« on: July 13, 2023, 10:50 AM »
I was in Champaign IL yesterday for a job. Looked to see if there was a Festool dealer in town to check out.
CU Woodsupply came up.
For those of you in the area or going through you might want to stop by. Good amount of Festool items, some older discontinued stuff discounted a bit, etc. General wood working tools and materials along the lines of Rockler.
More importantly, maybe, some really nice wood options. Very interesting wood types and nice looking pieces. Also a good amount of very nice small end pieces or chunks that came off of larger live slabs. Some very nice slabs as well. Lots of smaller chunks of nice wood that could be used for projects. I didn't really look at pricing too much since I had limited time.

So if you are going through the Champaign area might want to check out CU Wood supply. Staff was very nice and helpful.
As for the disclaimer, I have no affiliation, ownership blah blah with the store.

If you do end up in Champaign, be sure to put Alierton Park (near Monticello, IL) on your to-do list.  Someone made way too much money over 100 years ago and put a lot of it in this very unique park.
