AFAIK, the Kapex REB 120 is made, or at least built in Germany, just as it’s predecessor the EB 120 was.
Might be worth remembering, although German built, many of the EB 120’s developed a smoking habit  [blink]

I’m actually wondering if it really matters where anything is assembled providing it’s monitored, and has good QC.

I remember wanting a Veto Pro Pac tool bag when I first saw them advertised. All the adds and sales pitch gave a strong impression that these bags were designed and made in the USA.
That will do me I thought, as I love American stuff.
Then I discover they are made in China, and was instantly on a downer, a high priced tool bag made in China? [doh]

I contacted Veto Pro Pac to confirm. The chap I spoke to told me, yes they are made in China but, our guys oversee everything, and I can assure you there are no corners cut.

I took a chance and ordered the closed top XXL-F. When it arrived I was instantly impressed and soon forgot the price.
It had a 5 year warranty, and I thought ok, let’s see how it goes. No issues at all and the best tool bag I’ve ever owned and in 40 odd years of being in the trade I’ve owned a good few.

When it got to just over 6 years old, one of the zips failed. No problem, as I was thinking of a new one. I ordered an OT-XXL, (no zips) and this is the one I should have bought originally.
When I ordered the new one, the dealer asked about my previous bag. I told him a zip had finally failed. He asked me to take it into him and said he could get a new zip fitted if I wanted.
I said yes please as long as it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Veto Pro Pac replaced it free of charge, even out of warranty. My son now uses it.

I’ve had the new one a few years now although the XXL is now discontinued, mine is going strong.

So this product being made in China, has caused no quality issues, and the company provide top class customer service.

I have other stuff not tool related that has been made in China, and much of it, to be fair, is also good durable quality.
