adding Canada to the availability of the RECON sale?
« on: January 20, 2015, 10:30 PM »
is there any chance Festool will be letting Canadians participate in this years Recon sale?

even if we need to pay more for shipping I'd love to be able to join in the deals.

Thanks Ben

Ben,

The reconditioned tool sale does not happen on a schedule. There's no guarantee there will even be one this year.

Canadians have access to reconditioned tools year around, based on what I know. I would suggest talking to your dealer. Note that there are fewer tools to choose from in Canada and we do not currently have a way to list real-time inventory.

Ok

I'll check with my dealer then.

Thanks

I have experience buying reconditioned festools in Canada, they are available all year round but the selection is determined my availability. Conditions may vary but for me it was save 15% and you get a one year warranty instead of the three years, not the 25%-40% savings seen in the US RECON sale. For some saving 15% may not justify loosing two years warranty, I will say all tools were mint condition and I have not had an issue with any of them yet.

Talking to my local festool dealer it seemed that there was no way to get reconditioned tools in canada.

But I have seen ad's for discount's on demo'd kapex's on dan clermont's ultimate tool website.

I'm holding out for some stuff to pop up on the used market...
