New hose for CT 26
« on: March 01, 2021, 02:44 PM »
Hello,

I want to ask if there is anything i need to think about before buying a new hose for my CT26.  I have an older hose and it has become a bit brittle and has a crack now.  I need to know what to buy.  Thanks!

The new hose (type) is  waaaay better than the old external ribbed hose.  The new 'standard'  D32/27 has more flex and almost zero curve memory, plus higher suction / airflow.

Downside is the new type tool end connector. It is backwards compatible but more difficult to attach and will drop dust when disconnecting.  However you can put the old style tool end connector onto the new hose. So keep your old one for parts.

Hi, maybe just to muddy the water, when my 2,d27 give up I will buy the d36 hose and 768135 reducer for those tools that require that end,btw the reducer has a smooth end,and collection is way better. guy
