Is this normal on new blades?
« on: November 05, 2021, 06:06 AM »
I bought a new TS and there appears to be rust on the blade. Am I being paranoid?

Can someone take a look and let me know should I bring it back for an exchange, please?

Welcome to the forum and that is no rust that is whatever is used to attach the teeth to the blade body so nothing to worry about.

Happy sawing.

Thank you acer66 for the reply and the welcome.

I feel a bit stupid. At least now I can just relax and enjoy the saw  [laughing]

Once again thank you

I agree with Acer.  I believe that the carbide tips are brazed on. Nothing to worry about.
