Festool/Cadex Compressor
« on: June 08, 2020, 01:26 PM »

I wonder if the Cadex Sys 3 and 4 compressors will ever be available in the US again? I have been searching for the Cadex compressor but it looks like it just vanished from the Festool distributors online stores. In place of the Cadex Sys I am redirected to Rolair Airstak. I wonder why the Cadex Sys 3 and 4 are no longer available in the USA? Would there be a future release of these in the USA?

Thank you!

Cadex, Rolair, Schneider — all rebranded OEM’s. So, if there is a market, one or the other will resurface.

The Cadex compressor was not a kissin cousin of the Rolair, Schneider, Senco, ect..

It was developed by the owner of Cadex with an Italian partner.   If you look closely it was slightly different than the cousins.   That said, it was basically stillborn.

It was plagued by delays and then more delays and I think it might have been beaten to market by Rolair's Airstak in N. America.  I could be wrong about that though.   At any rate, your only chance is finding one somewhere as dead stock.  Cadex had a few still for sale last year on there site, that would be the best place to enquirer.

The Airstak is pretty much your only option in the USA now.  Unless you want to DIY one in your own systainer.
