There WERE lots of things in the queue today, but it's shrunk considerably, and in a short amount of time.  [eek]

Busy morning for sure! I tried to grab the ETS but it was gone in less than 25 seconds.

Anyone know when the Black Friday deals typically drop? Is it literally on Black Friday or usually before by a couple days?

My best guess would be any time after Wednesday next week, although it could start before then.

The only real difference between Black Friday and Regular Recon is that you don't have to wait for a queue for the Black Friday listings.

That said, while you may see a few gems, a lot of what you see for Black Friday will also be Planexes (Planices?), Corded Vecturos, and the like.

This thread has been pretty quiet since most of the watchers and posters are subscribed to the Slack channel, but I'm sure that @4nthony, @GoingMyWay , @guybo  and/or myself will do our best to post in here once Black Friday is live.

I appreciate the Recon posting updates that everyone makes.  I am happily stuck in the flip phone age so do not have access to notification by slack channel.  I would probably consider becoming a Mennonite if they would allow me to have a microwave and electric fan.

No annual black friday sale on the recon site? If memory serves me right, in years past the sale started a day or so before thanksgiving?  When did last years start?

Based on this thread, last year didn't have a Black Friday sale.  They've used the Black Friday listing method during some of the three- and four-day US holiday weekends throughout 2021, though.

Looks like it started overnight or early morning on Thanksgiving Day in 2019.

The Recon site was pretty much non-existent last year until Thanksgiving.  It seemed they started posting items on Recon about this time last year, so maybe that was their Black Friday.

To my fellow Americans, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.  To everyone else, I will show my British roots and say "Have a Good Day".

So weird, no Recon sale this Thanksgiving, not even on Cyber Monday. Maybe we will see something tomorrow?

If today's queue is an indicator of what they had in stock, I can understand why they didn't post their Black Friday collection this year.

Probably. I'm still hoping I'll see a Vac Sys on Recon this year.

Today started off pretty well but we've now been stuck on several of the items since 10:30 AM when I left the house...rather disheartening as I thought there'd be a blow-out here for the holidays.  [sad]

I saw the T 18 drill up mid-morning, with seven items after it. Now we are down to those seven.   Were there any items before the T 18 drill?

The T-18+3 4.0 Set was the first item of the day today.  And the first since last week.

I can't remember exactly...there were 8 items on the 1st page and the WOW, angle grinder & Planex on the 2nd page. I guess I was just underwhelmed at the selection. I was expecting a bit more sizzle with the steak concerning the timing. [smile]

Cordless Track Saw TSC 55 5.2 KEBI-F-Plus just posted.

It may only be a 10% discount, but it IS the new K model, WITH batteries (which is hard to find in stores right now).

If I didn't have a stack of 2.2 blades for my corded TS55, I'd probably have snapped this up.

But at much diminished warranty right?  Unless you need it right away for some reason doesn’t sound like much of a deal.

Correct, only 1 year instead of 3, including on the batteries.  Each buyer needs to decide if it's worth it to them, for sure.
