Somewhat of a Festool noob here. I picked up the ETSC 125 Li 3.1-Set this morning. I noticed the price was $420, 75% off of $560. I believe it may have included only 1 battery, rather than 2. Theres nothing on the Festool site for $560. Just wondering if I messed up by ordering this, as it stayed up a lot longer than it has in the past. Thanks!
The Set version of the cordless sanders should come with the Sys-Combi systainer (with a drawer on the bottom) as well as the mains adapter that allows you to run the sander corded. It usually comes with two batteries, but the Recon versions are often listed with only one (for the ETSC, at least).
Even a single battery will outlast your hand/comfort level. If the battery dies in the middle of an all-day sanding session, that's an indication that it's time to take a lunch break and recharge your body's batteries as well. And you can plug it in while the battery is charging if push comes to shove. If you're not sure what the battery level is before starting a project/work day, you can check with the indicator on the battery itself and charge it the night before a project if absolutely necessary.
It might also show up with two batteries, which has been known to happen.
Bottom line, I think you'll be fine if you're a hobbyist. You can always call FestoolUSA to ask them if you want to be absolutely sure, and they
might be willing to cancel before shipping if you're not comfortable with their answer.
