Title: Festool ets éc 125
Post by: Renecastro on November 08, 2020, 06:16 PM
After comparing the 125 model with the 150 I noticed that they are both the same as far as power. My question is can I buy a 150 sanding pad and use it on my 125 sander. Will the dust extraction work the same. Just curious if anyone has done that. I came up on allot of 150 sandpaper but I don’t have a 150 sander.  So if anyone has done this let me know please

Ya that’s been discussed here a thousand times. The 150 pad bolts up directly to the 125 ETS EC and works well. Search on this site if you want more detailed information.

Does it still fit in the original Systainer insert with the 150 pad installed?

No, not if you want it to nest into the original molded tray.   You can order a 150 tray from EKAT if it's important to you.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE!!

As said, discussed a lot on the forum already, but the ETS EC 150 will not take the 125mm pad.
Only the ETS EC 125 can take both pad sizes.

I spoke to the Festool dealer in town and I was told the 150mm won’t fit my ETs ec 125 sander. Do you have a part number for the larger 150mm pad. I was told Bosch had a patent on interchangeable pads, so the newer ETs ec 125 would not accept the larger pads?

The 150mm pad fits the ETS EC 125. I just put one on mine. Here is the part# of the medium 150mm pad: 202458
Ultra Soft 150mm is 202459
Hard 150mm is 202460

I got one off Amazon Warehouse for a really good deal. It said “used-like new” but it was absolutely brand new. Saves ya like $13.
