Cleantec connector at tool
« on: June 15, 2019, 04:26 PM »
Am I correct in interpreting the hose detail D 27/32x5.0m as specifying that the connection at the tool is 27 mm ID and 32 mm OD? That leaves only 2.5 mm thickness for the component. In the photo it appears to be closer to 5.5 mm thick like my current hose. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

No. That is the tapered hose. It is 27 at the tool end 32 at the vac end. The tool end connector is like your current one.  Well, depending if you have the old push on type or the new twist like type. But the D27 connector sizing is the same for connection purposes.

Thank you for the information.
The new hose appears to be a great improvement for use with my old TS 55 and 1400.
My existing hose is the old push type which fits over the connector of some equally old Milwaukee sanders.
What is the ID of the new hose?

Same ID. As the old style connector. It   should   fit anything that the old one fit. You can still push it on to older Festool ports.

You can also find topics here on FOG about how people like or dislike the new style connector for other reasons.
