MFT frame extension pieces?
« on: November 01, 2010, 08:02 AM »
I was looking at the Noden Adjust-a-Bench site (http://www.adjustabench.com/gallery_beckerink_m.asp) and in the gallery page I noticed an adaptation of what I surmise to be the older version of the MFT with extended long rails and three MDF tops mounted to the Asjust-a-Bench legs.  Are these extended side rails available for the current model MFT?

Willy, you should be able to get replacement rails. But we do not have rails longer than the ones that come on the MFT/3.

I knew I could get replacements, Shane, but I was looking to build an extended version of the MFT like the one I saw.  Do you know if the extended rails are something made, but just NAINA?

I'm not completely familiar with all of the offerings outside of the NA, but I believe there are longer profiles offered elsewhere.

Thanks, Shane.  Looks like some investigation will be in the works here.

they might be at Japan woodworker site. under mft/3 tables and accessories. Called Table Profile long 2x. part MFT 488555 (price for a pair $195.) Their length is 79". Information is sketchy. I don't know how it would set up but you can see them there.

Part number 488555 is for the pair of 79" (2000mm) table profiles for the older MFT -- these profiles do NOT fit the newer MFT/3 tables.
